The Cliffters

Rudolph Hansen - Johnny Reimar - Steen Hansen
Ole Rasmussen - Torben Sardorf

The 28. of July 1998 I got a call from Rudolph Hansen and Johnny Reimar, who asked if I could take over from Jan Pedersen at Vise-Vers-huset at Tivoli the following day.
I had made substitute for Jan before in The Cliffters, it was in a broadcast for DR TV called Danish Rock History, which tooked place in 1985, in the same broadcast I also performed with Melvis and his Gentlemen.
It became 10 months with The Cliffters again, on The Fairy Sjaelland and around the country.

In december 1998 The Cliffters could celebrate their 10 years jubilee at The Fairy Sjaelland.
The Christmas Lunches were taking place, and here is the final of such an evening, with a lot of fun.

Press the playbutton a couple of times, and hear the signature tune"Django" and "Goodnight Sweetheart".

The first number on this video from a TV-broadcast from DR1 in a Jarl Friis Mikkelsen's program, is the number "Perfidia", where Viggo Sommer from "De Nattergale" try to imitate the choreography; but fails in a strange and funny way.

After that a TV-broadcast from DR1 in a Joergen de Mylius program "Johnny Reimar 40 years with The Cliffters" with the numbers "How wonderful to know" & "Django".

The 29. of april 1999 we played at Bakken in Klampenborg. The video was made by Poul Mortensen, who in his younger days went to HitHouse, and was a great fan of Hitmakers og Defenders. When Cliffters reunioned, he became a member of Cliffters Fanclub, and I thank him for this video.

I will dedicate this to my, through many years, good friend Rudolph.
We had countless, fantastic hours together.

But back to the video, here Sten is playing "Rattle Snake Dance" in a slower tempo than in Melvis; but with 3 members from that time.

The 28. of December 1998 we went to Thailand, to be precise, Pattaya. New Years Eve we performed for the guests at the hotel Thai Garden Resort, amongst them about a hundred danes. It was incredible how many of them I recognized from home.

The 2. of January 1999 we performed to the benefit of Father Brennan.

The rest of the 12 days were pure holiday.
