Per Jarnbo - Torben Sardorf - Birger GyllingMelvis Rockband broke up in January 1961, og Birger Gylling who owned the uniforms wanted to start a new band. He brought Joergen Rothmann from Melvis with him and asked me to join them, and so I did. When my knowledge of english was better than his, he asked me to come up with a name for the new band. It had to start with a M, because the shirts had a M ingraved from Melvis Rockband. I came up with Medley Swingers.
We started a club on Greve Badehotel, the name was Medley Pub Club. We performed every thursday and saturday during the summer.

We recorded some Titles for Radio Mercur. And had a lot of fun for many hours together with Pedro Biker, who was an employee at Radio Mercur.

on stage at Radio Mercur City, the old and present Noerrebros Theatre in Ravnsborgade Copenhagen in august 1961.
Pedro Biker gave us free tickets, and we sat on the first row, namely in the orchestra pit together with Cliffters.
Shadows started with F.B.I., and when the curtains opened, they went forward towards the stageedge in their shimmering suits. Fantastic sound and stage-performance.
When they played Shazam, I'm sure it inspired Mogens Petersen from Cliffters to compose Django.

Birger Gylling stood for the booking of the band, and that was the start on his manager career.At Medley Pop Club my sister Ingelis was a member of the board, in which Birger Gylling was the chairman. Something concerning the account turned up, which resulted I left the the band in 1962.

We spent the rest of the year in the province, which at that time had got their eyes open to danish Pop & Rock'n Roll, through Radio og TV.
